It's been a strange winter so far, but the trail looks beautiful through it all ❄️ The FEBRUARY 15 Challenge is underway, and a great way to rack up miles is by heading out on the trail! During this special winter 15-mile challenge, log miles anywhere in the @ErieCanalway National Heritage Corridor by February 28 to earn your badge. Save the date! 🗓️ Spring will be here before we know it 🌱 so make sure you put Canal Clean Sweep, New York's biggest Earth Day celebration, on your calendar. When asked why he decided to ride the trail, end-to-ender Ken B. told us he just wanted a nice beautiful ride. And that's what he got! Looking for a good read to get you through the winter weather? Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cycle the Erie Canal with this year's official jersey 🚴 Winter vibes on the Erie Canalway Trail 🧣❄️ Adaptive reuse of historic infrastructure is essential for preserving our history and improving pedestrian and bicycle access. The Quaker/O'neil bridge in Macedon demonstrated the power of this kind of project, receiving  an award from @NYStateParks for Excellence in Historic Preservation for 2022. Did someone say free winter adventure? From snowshoe hikes to winter birding to cozy painting lessons, there are tons of #OntheCanals excursions and activities to check out this season.
