Successful businessmen John Robinson, a congenital amputee, and Doug Hamlin, a quadriplegic, will ride their hand cycles from Tonawanda to Albany from June 30 to July 11 as part of the second annual “Our Ability Journey Along the Erie Canal.” The men will be accompanied by their families and many others as they cross the state on the Erie Canalway Trail. Each day they will be joined by chapters of the New York State ARC along with local dignitaries and Canal Corporation officials in their quest to raise awareness and help individuals with disabilities achieve their highest and best aspirations for education and employment.
